Ricardo Musica is my quirky Mozart piano concertos project.

That's me in the hat playing a Mozart piano concerto (K.41) on famous Jim Coleman's fastidiously maintained human-voice Baldwin grand in ~115°F at Sheriff Joe Arpaio's famous Tent City Jail in Phoenix, Arizona. The second (orchestra) piano, also from Jim, is on the left behind the camera.

The event brought some comfort and entertainment to the jail's inmates (unpaid parking tickets, missed alimony payments etc.). Captive audience, tough crowd! On prime-time ABC TV News that evening. Check out a couple of short not-edited clips on our YouTube channel. (The sound is not that great.)

Now let's go around the world playing all 27 Mozart piano concertos, TV reality show style! Ready when you are.

The Ricardo Musica proposition is irrefutable. It's well defined, clearly delineated, self-limited, self-contained, easily visualised, viable, feasible and sustainable. In particular:-

• audio: everyone likes to relax to good classical music

• video: everyone likes culture, travel, interesting narratives and an interesting eccentric front-man

• it's multi-generational, multi-cultural, multi-national, multi-disciplinary fun for everyone. The YouTube figures of some Mozart-related channels suggest that Ricardo Musica will enjoy very large audiences.

To get the attention of TV stations, sponsors, advertisers and the classics-loving public globally, I'm first going to do four or five pilot episodes and seven complete piano concerto videos. That pilot stage is described here.
