Temoto looks a nice place to put a piano. Arthur Grimble turned me on to this part of the world with his fascinating A Pattern of Islands and Return To The Islands. (We Chose the Islands is vastly entertaining too; I have come across it only recently). Very interesting Polynesian marine navigation. What fun to be on the open ocean playing Mozart in a dugout and no modern navigation aids. And to walk in the steps of Empire-builder Grimble.

Doubly remote. We like mountains and cold weather. We can introduce the good folks to Mozart if they don't already know it. Native musicians on native instruments a bonus.

We'll find a quiet spot somewhere. Lots of talented local classical musicians.

Of the numerous books on numerous aspects of Egypt, Edward Cecil's Leisure of an Egyptian Official is one of my favourites for its vivid witty evocations. We shall see what has changed and what hasn't.
